Pamela A. Moulder, Executive Director of Veterans Moving Forward, Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity, nonprofit organization with a mission of providing assistance/service dogs to veterans with physical and mental health challenges.
Ms. Moulder is a senior program analyst with more than 13 years experience providing organizational planning, special analytical studies and projects support to senior executives at the Economics and Statistics Administration (ESA), U.S. Department of Commerce. Under the provisions of the Intergovernmental Personnel Act Mobility Program administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Ms. Moulder is on loan to Veterans Moving Forward for one year.
Prior to working for ESA, Ms. Moulder served for more than 22 years in the U.S. Navy as a general unrestricted line officer in duty stations that ranged from the Bureau of Naval Personnel to those in Iceland, Italy and Japan where she served as the Chief Staff Officer at Commander, Fleet Activities, Sasebo. Ms. Moulder retired with the rank of commander.
Ms. Moulder has a Master of Science degree in manpower, personnel and training analysis from the Naval Post Graduate School and a bachelor of science from State University of New York at Syracuse.
Gordon Sumner, PhD, is the President of Veterans Moving Forward, Inc, a non-profit providing assistance dogs and therapy services to veterans with physical and mental health challenges, and is the founder of Gordon Sumner Consulting, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and Native American Small Business.
Today, Dr. Sumner serves as the Development Officer for the MedEvac Foundation International. The Foundation is an international nonprofit 501c(3) charitable organization that supports the Association of Air Medical Services as it represents the Air Medical and Critical Care Ground Transport industry. The Foundation provides research, education, and outreach programs that enhance the industry’s ability to provide quality medical care and provide safe and effective air and ground medical transport for every patient in-need.
Dr. Sumner previously served as the National Director for the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). As a presidential appointee and member of the Senior Executive Service, he provided executive leadership to the largest volunteer organization within the Department of Defense comprised of over 5000 uniformed military, government civilians, defense contractors and volunteers.
After retiring from the US Army as a Colonel select in 1997, Gordon served as a Managing Director, SYColeman, formally SY Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of L3 Communications, as a consultant to the Chief of Staff, Army establishing the Active Component / Reserve Component Integration Directorate as well as delivering state-of-the-art solutions to customers, expanded leading market positions to deliver value to all of our stakeholders, and provided innovative solutions to a broad base of customers, from the U.S. government and its allies to the world’s most prestigious corporations.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Adult Education from Madison University (Summa Cum Laude), a Master of Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) from Auburn University, a Master of Education (with Honors) from Boston University and a BS, Music Performance and Music Education, Jacksonville State University. He is also a Graduate at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
Gordon currently serves as a Senior Fellow and Affiliate Faculty, George Mason University; a Council Member, Graduate Education Development Council, Auburn University; Scholar; and, the Board of Advisors, Office of Military Services, George Mason University. He is an Army Reserve Ambassador and an Ambassador with the Yellow Ribbon Fund. He is also the Commander, Greater Washington DC Chapter 353, Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Karen D. Jeffries, Founder/President Emeritus of VMF, a 501(c)(3) public charity, nonprofit organization with a mission of providing assistance/service dogs to veterans with physical and mental health challenges, is also a management consultant with more than 23 years experience working directly for senior leaders of the federal government and chief executives of commercial corporations in the Washington, DC area. Ms. Jeffries is a retired naval officer and the former owner of Jeffries Communications, a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in marketing, business development and communications.
Prior to establishing Veterans Moving Forward and Jeffries Communications Group in 2010, Ms. Jeffries held several professional positions as an employee of the government consulting organization, LMI; the senior vice president for business development and marketing for Infra-Structures, Inc. (IFS); a senior military analyst for L3 Communications/SYColeman; the chief of communications for the Bureau of Economic Analysis; and an independent consultant for special events, meeting planning and the National Geographic magazine.
Ms. Jeffries' military career began in 1977 when she enlisted and served as a Yeoman Third Class Petty Officer before earning a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps scholarship and her commission as a line officer in 1984. She served aboard several ships as a surface warfare officer before transferring into the public affairs officer community and ultimately retiring with the rank of commander in 2001.
Ms. Jeffries has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California at Berkeley. Ms. Jeffries has graduate work in communications from the University of Oklahoma and decorative arts from Parsons School of Design, New School University.

Jennings/Larson Ltd Co-founder/COO - Developed and executed retail business plan in support of specialty lithographs for the 1980 Winter and Summer Olympic Games in Lake Placid/Moscow.
Mr. Larson has a bachelor's degree in management and marketing science from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
