Raise a Puppy

Volunteer Puppy Raisers are needed — helping to raise puppies for VMF will enable us to provide service dogs to veterans with physical and mental health challenges.

Raise a PuppyRole of Puppy Raiser

Socialization is an important part of training an assistance dog and needs to begin as early as possible. In addition to seeing to the care and health of the puppy, the Puppy Raiser begins the training process, including crate-training, house training, obedience classes and manners.
